About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, passionate Pre-Sales Data Scientist or Engineer to join our Revenue organization. In this consultative role, you’ll be relied on to lead the technical efforts of the sales cycle, interface directly with our clients and prospects, and guide them through data and data science initiatives from demonstration to onboarding. You’ll conduct Proof Of Values during which you’ll discover hidden connections between client and external data sources. You’ll leverage sales skills to communicate the insights to our clients equipping them with the resources to drive a purchase of our software. Working with various personas and functions across the prospect’s organization, you’ll identify external data use-cases aligning to value and build roadmaps focused around measurable impact. You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries (software, fintech, marketing, real estate, and more), and will be solving tough, real-world business problems using state-of-the-art data pipelines, entity resolution algorithms, and the latest ML models. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present and demonstrate Explorium’s product to prospective clients - both technical and non-technical executives
  • Identify pain points in customers current data stack, scope solutions that can show clear business value while maximizing Explorium’s capabilities
  • Quantify impact and showcase the value proposition to various personas across the customer organizations spanning from ICs to C-level executives
  • Design use case objectives and success criteria, with an understanding of our capabilities and client needs
  • Develop data enrichment solutions and predictive models to address the business objectives of our clients, both during the proof-of-concept phase and as part of ongoing engagements.
  • Connect experience on Explorium’s platform and user feedback to product teams, driving feature enhancements based on customer demand and impact on the company’s growth


Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or R
  • Ability to present to all levels of the organization, from ICs to the C-Suite
  • Experience in pre sales, consulting, and/or customer-facing roles - presenting value propositions to business oriented personas
  • Eager to get hands-on experience in a variety of use-cases and industries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BI tools, cloud solutions (AWS/GCP)
  • Previous experience working with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers
  • Data Analysis tools such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Plotly
  • Experience with production-grade software development
  • CompSci or related STEM degrees
