What is a Signal?
A signal is a property or a characteristic of an entity that is derived from the data collected for this entity. A signal provides external information (behavioral, demographic, financial, etc.) about the entity to help draw insights and make decisions around it. Signals can be numeric or not, but in their numeric representation they can be used as features for machine learning models or signal data analysis.
