The NEXTGEN T&P VALVE is laboratory tested and ASME, ANSI and CSA certified. Current T&P valve technology is highly susceptible to corrosion and build up of sediments which, over time, inhibit the performance of the valve. This is primarily because the key components driving mechanical actuation are exposed to the elements and over time and through exposure - experience critical fatigue. The proposed NextGen valve, developed by Juan Lopez, removes the exposure of the mechanical elements by containing them within a protective mechanism, providing a longer product life cycle and ensuring the valve opens when required. This advanced development will lead to safer operation of high-pressure water heaters and prevent damage within homes associated to either explosion in water heaters or over pressurization within the homes water lines.
